• One of the best things you can do before you renovate is to get a professional opinion on the full potential of your property. You can save hundreds of thousands on additions by rather making better use of what is already built. You can also solve issues like low light which significantly impact the final result and how you will feel living in the space.

    • Step 2: 60-90 minute meeting in person or on Zoom to get an in-depth brief on how you live in the space and how you would like to live in the space.
    • Step 3: I’ll provide you with a conceptual furnished layout with renders showing you the impact of the changes in real life. You’ll also see how to furnish the space in terms of piece placement and the scale of furniture that can be used. The bundle is priced on our hourly rate of R950 per hour and takes 28 hours to produce over the course of several days.
    • Additional info: Plans are conceptual and cannot be used for council approvals or as building plans but builders can use it as a rough guide. Areas without changes will not be rendered to save on cost and renders will show a generic contemporary style of furniture.
  • The Mood Board Bundle is your starter pack to understanding your personal style and what moves you when it comes to interior design. I will take note of all the things you love, hate, already own and wish were yours. I'll then interpret this information and will compile what your 'true north' style is. Once we have this direction I'll explain the key features of the look, give you a Pinterest board to get you started and will show you a close up of how the look is executed per room type (bedrooms, bathrooms etc.). I'll also provide a taster of what types of things you would buy to achieve the look.

    • No items are sourced and no exact designs are provided- this is just a guide for future decision making and is conceptual.
  • Priced per room*  Renovating your property but don’t know which tiles to choose or how you would like your patio area to look? We can guide you to make the right design choices. This package is only available for clients who have already purchased the mood board bundle as I need a clear idea of the overall future look for the home and the furniture before I can give the correct advice on finishes. The question "Does this tile work?" is only answered by knowing what we are trying to achieve otherwise you will end up with a bathroom that clashes with the style of your home.
    • Cost covers 1 room.
    • Base finishes will be provided from paint to lighting, tiles, wallpaper etc. but no furniture or accessories.
    • 60-90 minute meeting in person or on Zoom to get an in-depth brief.
    • This package is custom priced if several areas are needed or if exterior finishes are required depending on the number of products. If you would like floor plans for the room (for example a bathroom layout) these are costed separately.
    • Choosing paint colours may be extra if sample testing is required on site.
    • Online links will be given not actual samples.
    • It is the clients responsibility to check all physical samples for accuracy and correct colour tone as manufacturing lots can vary and online links can be updated to different colour options as items sell out.
    • The bundle is priced on my hourly rate of R950 per hour and takes 30 hours per room to produce, over the course of several days.
  • 20% of budget * This is our standard design service and is a hands-off approach where your design preferences guide the direction but you don't have to deal with any of the heavy lifting.
    • Step 1: Complete our questionnaire, send some photos of your existing home and any inspiration images/your Pinterest boards + send your house plans. Once I've had a look I will invoice you for a refundable deposit of R5000 for the first meeting (refundable should you continue with the project).
    • Step 2: 60-90 minute meeting in person or on Zoom to get an in-depth brief on your style preferences.
    • Step 3: (2 weeks) I’ll present a rough budget and a style guide for your project to make sure we are on track in terms of the look and costs. You'll have a chance to give feedback and I will tweak the concept for any changes. No actual furniture pieces will be shown at this stage, it is just conceptual.
    • Step 4: Once the style guide and rough budget is approved you will be invoiced for 15% of the estimated cost to appoint Lulu Interiors to work on the interior design phase. The initial R5000 will be refunded off of this invoice.
    • Step 5: (2 weeks) I'll present a full interior design catalogue for your interior showing you exactly what items we will be procuring and manufacturing as well as all fabric samples and finishes. You will know exactly what you are getting and the costs before you proceed. You'll have a chance to give feedback and I will tweak the interior design for any changes.
    • Step 6: (8 weeks) Once the interior design catalogue is approved you will be invoiced for 80% of the cost to allow us to place custom orders and secure stock on your behalf. After payment is received it takes 8 weeks for us to deliver.
    • Step 7: My team and I will deliver and install. I'll snag for any issues and resolve these and then recon the budget based on final prices on the day of purchase (if there are any sales etc. or where we only had estimates). The last 5% of the project will be invoiced.
    Budget indication: If you want to fully design, furnish and decorate an empty room from scratch it costs around R100 000-R150 000 (excl. design fees and delivery) depending on the scale of the room and the level of luxury you would like (wallpapers, pendant lights, only custom furniture etc). If you are just updating a room with existing furniture the costs are less. Rooms that are next to each other like dining and lounge will also cost less as the elements work together across the space. I am VAT registered so VAT will be added to my fee- all budget items will already contain VAT.
