We were given almost a blank cheque in terms of brief on this apartment. Our only instruction was to use leather and wood in the interior design and to create something beautiful that affluent creatives in Pretoria would adore. Nadine Engelbrecht was brought in as the architect and was tasked with refurbishing two older apartment blocks (with generous floor plans, parquet floors and high ceilings) while adding two new blocks that would tie into the old. The end result was a beautiful mix of black brick, terrazzo, high contrast black and white, fluted glass and concrete. We custom produced almost every furniture piece and all artwork, making it a treasure trove of unique finds.
