This project was a collaboration with my good friend and fellow designer, Liesa from Home Stagers Cape Town. The brief for this home was to meet the needs of the owners for their own family trips from Germany several times a year, while also appealing to guests looking for holiday homes on Airbnb. After exploring competing homes in the area we set about to create an aesthetic that would stand out online, but still deliver an expected experience for a beach house booking. The final interior explores the contrast between moody grey skies, various shades of green and yellow Cape shrubland and the warm bursts of sunlight that break through in the ever changing Cape weather. Several artworks were chosen that referenced the setting of the home in the dense dune bush while not being overly beachy. Liesa sourced beautiful works by multiple artists including works by Kristen Mcclarty and Kendall-Leigh Nash.
